Boston University (B.A. 1989); Interamerican University of Puerto Rico (J.D. 1992). Student Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court, Puerto Rico, 1990-1991 (Hon. Judge C.C.Cerezo). Member, Interamerican University Law Review, 1990-1992.

Member:

Bar Association of Puerto Rico; American Bar Association. Mr. Mellado-Villarreal was the president of the board of directors of the non-profit museum La Casa del Libro, 1998-2001.
